Workship God (拜天公） bai tin gong.....LOL

For Hokkien people, 9th beginning of the Lunar New Year,are very important. All the Hokkien people will buy some sugar cane at that day and pray to God ,blessing to the family .Why they want to buy sugar cane and pray to the God? hehe..the reason is 。。。。。。。。。。。

Long time ago , the Ming Dynasty when the 1st of the Lunar New Year,there has a war in the area of Fujian,the Japanese soldier go attack the people at there,all the villagers very scare and fear. Then all the villagers was run away from the village, if not, the Japanese soldier will catch them up. They run and run and run,suddenly appear a large sugarcane forest . The villagers have fled into the forest hide in the sugarcane forest, to avoid the soldiers. On the 9th of the Lunar New Year, they success avoid from the soldier, all the villager have freedom .They celebrate on that day and they said is God help them .So until now, all the Hokkien people will pray to the god on that day. For them, the 9th of the Lunar New Year is more important than 1st of the Lunar New Year.
